 Re: 2008 Smart radio 9
Nice choice of colour if I do say so myself, I think a toothbrush may be required for the wheels, they look great but I always pick the least number of spokes on wheels as I don't wash the Smart too often, my TVR gets all the attention I'm afraid. I have got the paddle shift on mine, I love it. I was thinking of the Parrot too but am looking into getting a bluetooth mirror, I can then use this in both cars, it may however not be loud enough for the TVR or it may have trouble with picking my voice up over the engine noise, that shouldn't be a problem in the Smart as the new model is very quite. Your interior looks the same as mine too Chris, I had a look at a beige one and felt a bit ill and thought it best sticking to black, windows look great, they do set the car off with the colour.

Ah - I noticed the TVR in the background of your piccies and wondered if it was part of your 'stable' !
The Parrot MK6100 is great, bluetooth streaming music from my HTC Tytn II Pocket PC/phone (and iPod with bluetooth connector). The display has the microphones built in (two for echo cancellation or something). The voice quality is great, voice activation works every time - even at 60mph down bumpy country lanes.
I'm no techie when it comes to car electronics and it was a zinch to fit - just a couple of cables needed swapping over from the ISO lead so I was glad to have bought a multimeter beforehand and checked.....
I noticed your wheels were different - were they an option then ? I did consider the paddle ship after I test drove a cabrio with them on but as this car is sitting on the drive all week then thought it too expensive an option. I had an early LHD SMART when they came out here (grey import) and the 'auto' option on this passion is more than useable. The old SMART was awful........dangerous even in its lazyness to change !

 Re: 2008 Smart radio 9
My car is a Pulse and the wheels were standard, I agree with you on the auto box of old, I had paddle shift on my last Smart and always made two clicks down well before the corner, I bet they were a nightmare with auto on them, the new model should be no problem with auto because the gear change is so fast, spot on I would say. Off on to ebay now to look at a Parrot.

The eBay seller I got mine for (£102) doesnt seem to have any auctions going today.......possibly gone out of business ?! He was trading under "wireless-shop" eBay ID.
